Proposals & RFPs
Request a proposal
Running a formal RFP or just need a quote? Here is what we will send you, and when.
What happens after you get in touch
We call you within one business day
A short conversation to understand the requirement: what is being asked of you, by whom, by when, and what your records look like.
We confirm the scope in writing
Including, where relevant, the honest observation that the level of service you have been asked for may be more than the requirement actually calls for.
You get a written proposal within five business days
Sooner if you have a deadline. For a formal RFP we work to your submission date.
You decide, and we schedule
If you appoint us, we issue an engagement letter with the fixed scope, fixed fee and agreed timetable in it, then send the document request list straight away.
What a proposal from us contains
Board members and audit committees are usually comparing three of these. We write ours to be genuinely comparable.
- Scope of services, and what is and is not included
- The named individual who will lead the work, with their background
- Timetable, with fieldwork dates and a delivery date
- A fixed fee, and a clear statement of what would change it
- What we need from you, and by when: the whole list, up front
- How we will work alongside your independent auditor, where there is one
- References, on request
- Our approach to your specific sector, rather than boilerplate
Running a formal RFP?
We respond to formal RFPs and are happy to work to your template, evaluation criteria and submission format.
If you are drafting one, we are also glad to look at the specification before it goes out. RFPs that ask for the wrong level of service, or omit the details bidders need to price accurately, produce quotes you cannot compare. There is no obligation attached to that: a well-specified RFP is better for everyone bidding.
